The original 427 engine was well-used by its original owner. Winning many drag races and competitions, and even once installed in a dirt track car, it was eventually retired and replaced by another 427 FE engine built one month earlier in February (B code). The car was purchased by a good friend of the original owner and has since been restored from the ground up. The engine was gone through, and the transmission and rear axle were rebuilt to factory specifications.
