This is an exceptionally low mileage 1970 Hemi Cuda’s that was built at the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant. The scheduled production date May 25, 1970. This is believed to be among the last few 1970 Cuda’s produced during the 1970 model year. The sequence number of this Cuda is #072,194 on line #1. This is a number matching vehicle. I have known of this car for at least 30 years.

It was special-ordered and purchased new at Shreves Plymouth-Dodge in June of 1970 by Bill Reardon from Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Reardon was finally buying his dream car at 62 years old. Supposedly, one of the last ten Hemi Cudas built in 1970, it was exactly as he imagined it; Tor-Red exterior with black interior, TorqueFlite automatic transmission shaker hood with tie downs, and a color-matching steel wheels with dog-dish hubcaps and Goodyear Polyglass GT tires. Reardon named it True Grit. Reardon immediately began modifying True Grit to get her ready for the drag strip: removing the intake and carburetors, the complete exhaust system, rear end, rear wheel tires and front shocks. He replaced all these with the best performance parts available, while carefully stowing the originals in safe storage. In his first season racing True Grit, Bill would make approximately 30 passes at three local drag strips with times occasionally dipping into the high 10-second range. Sadly, that would be his one and only season as Bill suddenly passed away. When his widow passed in 1977, the couple’s son sold the car and all the original parts to Marvin Dillion, who, after returning it to its original configuration at 42 miles, drove it less than a single mile in the 16 years that he owned it.
In 2005 John Arruzza of Thomasville, NC bough it with 61 miles.
Since then, it has been moved enough to take the odometer to its present reading of 87 miles .

Source: 81 mile hemi cuda NOT sold at Mecum auction due to thunderstorm!!!! for sale: photos, technical specifications, description (topclassiccarsforsale.com) 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 'Cuda I will begin by stating that this is NOT a scam. I am NOT selling for a friend or relativebut I am attempting to sell this GREAT CAR ! It will be located at the LEAKE Auction in Tulsa on the weekend of June 6th at the River Sprit Expo Centerat Expo Square 4145 East 21st street Tulsa Ok 74114. It will be on display and offered for a private treaty sale at that time. If it does not sell in Tulsaor if you wish to view it before June 4th it can be seen in Houston with a 24 hour advance notice phone call.It is here at ebay at a fixed price and if it meets that price I will sell it.This car went viral on line the 3 weeks before going to auction. Google "81 mile hemi cuda" and you will see what I mean. This is the LOWEST MILES HEMI CUDA IN THE WORLD and is in outstanding condition and RUNS AND DRIVES as it did when NEW! Please note this car NOW has 84 miles on it!!!! I am TRUSTING the folks at Ebay to allow me to present this car here as I have sold numerous classic and specialty cars here. I do NOT have the computer savvy to get the "word" out in any other method. If you want to spread the word HAVE AT IT. I would LOVE for this car to sell thru EBAY!!!!!!! This car was presented for sale at the 28th annual Mecum auction in Indianapolis Indiana May14-17-2015. Seconds before the car was on the auction block LIGHTNIG HIT the building and shut down ALL POWER! ! ! Imagine all of the hype all of the hoopla hundreds of thousands of hits on line nearly 40000 articles on GOOGLE thousands of inquiries about the car numerous TV interviews all of the money spent by Mecum Auctions to prints it's OWN BROCHURE!!!! and it is SHUT DOWN and in darkness we did not even know there was a storm outside. The "bidders only" audience was about 800 people or so. I realized that not only were the lights out but ALL COMMUNICATIONS WERE DOWN no internet no phones no nuthin........emergency lighting came on at once and in a very few minutes NBCSN was demanding that the auction continue. I PERSONALLY asked Frank Mecum what about the phones and the on line bidders. The response was this and I quote "the money is in the room" end quote. Well it would surprise me that with nearly 40000 articles on GOOGLE that only 2 people in the entire world would actually come to the auction to bid. Nobody on the phone nobody on line. But what do I know???? I don't believe that ANY communications were up I KNOW that the live feed was down and the HYPE that had followed this car was seemingly lost. I in NO WAY blame the Mecum auctions for what happened. I do believe that the decision to continue the auction without the entire planet watching would not be what would have been my first choice. After all Mecum was in store for a healthy commission IF it sold..... Full documentation will be provided. I am certain you will want to come and look and drive this GREAT time machine. If you are still reading then read some more. Google this car. It is for sale. It has a price on it. Feel free to call with any questions!!!! Scott 361-331-3322 or in Tulsa at 918-250-5182.

Simply, the lowest mile Cuda on the planet. This is an amazing all correct all original and all number matching Tor Red Hemi Cuda with a significant racing history to boot.
It was special-ordered and purchased new at Shreves Plymouth-Dodge in June of 1970 by Bill Reardon from Clarksburg, West Virginia. Reardon was finally buying his dream car at 62 years old. One of the last ten Hemi Cudas built in 1970, it was exactly as he imagined it; Tor-Red exterior with black interior, torqueflite automatic transmission shaker hood with tie downs, and a color-matching steel wheels with dog-dish hubcaps and Goodyear Polyglass GT tires. Since then, it has been moved enough to take the odometer to its present reading of 86 miles. Today, it is the textbook definition of a time capsule; unmolested, original, and superb verification of the numbers and codes for Hemi lovers!

Source Barrett Jackson Auction
1970 PLYMOUTH HEMI CUDA 2 DOOR HARDTOP - (barrett-jackson.com) Lot #1262 - This Hemi 'Cuda was special ordered and delivered new in June of 1970 by Bill Reardon of Clarksburg, WV. Upon it's delivery from Shreves Plymouth-Dodge Bill drove his new factory race car the 28 miles home. Bill was 62 when he finally got his "race car". He immediately set out to make it even faster. Bill removed the 2x4 intake, the complete exhaust system, rear third member, the rear wheels and tires and the front shocks. He replaced them with the best high performance parts of the day and paid special attention to see that none of the factory parts were misplaced or damaged. The first race season Bill made some 30 passes at the 3 local drag strips. He had a good first season with some times in the high 10 second range. At the end of the season he garaged his "race car" and began to prepare for the next year. That winter Bill Reardon passed away suddenly. In 1977 Bill's widow passed away. The Reardon's son was left to dispose of the estate and placed an ad in the local paper. Marvin Dillion is the sole person responsible for the salvation of this great car. After seeing the car and agreed to pay the price of $3500. Marvin took his new found love home and immediately began replacing the "hot rod" parts with the original parts that she was born with. In 1993 Marvin sold the car, Marvin purchased this car with 42 miles on her. Even through the odometer turned to the 43 mile mark as he moved her from time to time he did not put a complete mile on this car for the entire 16 years he had her. Passing through 3 more owners and the miles stayed low until 2005 when renowned, internationally known "Hemi builder" John Arruzza of Thomasville, NC bought her with 61 miles on her now and was in need for him to make her run and perform as she did when new. John performed the tune up and fluid changes that a stored car needs and rebuilt both of the carbs so she could once again roar to life at the turn of the key. John test drove her to the mileage of 73 and since then she has been moved enough to come up to the 74 miles that are on her today. John still has the Ziplock baggie that contains the rubber he burned off the tires on his test drive and she sits here today ready to go. This is the lowest mileage hemi "Cuda known to exist and perhaps should stay that way. She comes with complete documentation including the original build sheet and has all known numbers documented, recorded and verified. Here is truly the definition of a survivor, muscle car. Source: 1970 Plymouth Cuda for sale in Brandon, MS / classiccarsbay.com
It was special-ordered and purchased new at Shreves Plymouth-Dodge in June 1970 by Bill Reardon of Clarksburg, West Virginia, who was finally buying his dream car at 62 years of age. One of the last 10 Hemi Cudas built in 1970, it was exactly as he imagined it: Tor Red with a Black interior; Torqueflite automatic transmission; Shaker hood with tie downs and color-matching steel wheels with dog-dish hub caps and Goodyear Polyglas GT tires. Following his original plans, Bill immediately began the modifications needed to ready the car for the drag strip, removing the intake and carburetors, the complete exhaust system, rear end, rear wheels and tires and front shocks. He replaced all these with the best performance parts available, while carefully stowing the originals in safe storage. In his first season of racing, Bill made approximately 30 passes at three local drag strips, occasionally dipping into the high 10-second range. Tragedy hit when Bill suddenly passed away after that first season with his new Cuda. When his widow passed in 1977, the couple's son sold the car and all the original parts to Marvin Dillion, who, after returning it to its original configuration at 42 miles, drove it less than a single mile in the 16 years he owned it. The car passed through three more caring owners before renowned Hemi specialist John Arruza of Thomasville, North Carolina, purchased it with 61 miles on the odometer. Arruza performed his magic on the car, refreshing it after its years of storage with a complete fluid change and tune-up and overhauling its carburetion system so that it once again performed as new. Arruza drove the car to 73 miles in the process of refining the car's state of tune. Since then it has been moved enough to take the odometer to its present reading of 86 miles. Today it is the textbook definition of a time capsule; unmolested, original and in superb condition, with documentation that includes the factory broadcast sheet and a recorded verification of the numbers and codes-for Hemi lovers, the Holy Grail. Highlights Unrestored with 86 original miles Lowest mileage 1970 Hemi Cuda known to exist. Produced May 25, 1970, at the Los Angeles assembly plant. One of the last ten 1970 Hemi Cudas built. Conditions of Review
MMC Detroit LLC, disclaims any warranty, either expressed or implied. MMC Detroit LLC., does not assume or grant any other parties’ liability in relation with the sale of this vehicle. MMC Detroit makes no representation and disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties of any kind to the user and/or any third party, including any warranties of accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. MMC Detroit does not make any claims that any vehicle has all its original components as to when it left the factory. Numbers matching as defined by us as “the numbers applied to this vehicle body, engine and transmission at the factory that tie into the VIN”. We are not making any claim that all the components are correct and/or factory original for the year, make and model. The record of this review by an MMC Detroit LLC representative and applicable photographs will remain on file in our office for a minimum period of 3 years. This report replaces any previously dated reports by MMC Detroit. Any reports labelled “Draft” of “Initial Draft” are considered incomplete and not finalized. The vehicle review was conducted based on our experience, knowledge, logic, information available and known data at the time of the inspection. We reserve the right to amend the inspection report should information relating to the vehicle authenticity be discovered or presented to us after the inspection has been completed. The findings will be communicated to the original requester of the report. Most vehicles have traded hands to many individuals through the years and there are some individuals in the collector car hobby that go through pain staking efforts to ensure that every detail is accurate within a nano micron to the factory process in an effort to deceive or misrepresent the vehicle. This is sometimes challenging to initially detect during the initial review. It is also illegal to intentionally misrepresent a vehicle in most states and countries. This amendment process is important because in most cases the vehicle is not in an environment nor will the owner allow a forensic study to conduct on key items like the VIN tag, trim tag, body stamping numbers, Broadcast sheets, manufactures certification label, powertrain stampings etc. Continuous improvement in reproduction stamps, tags, documentation technology is not for the greater good over the long run, anyway! We do not endorse it. The amending of the vehicle report will be done in the spirit of continuous improvement in an effort to enhance the car collection experience for current and future owners. Any additional reviews requested at the owner of this car will be at extra cost. Please contact MMC Detroit to ensure that you have the latest report if the current date is beyond the date on the report.

Condition Scale
The following table was use in the evaluation of the above vehicle
Note: Vehicle reviews are conducted based on our experience, knowledge, logic, information available and known data at the time of the inspection. See to notes below: 1. OE correct : This is not a factory correct original equipment review. 2. OEM Sheet metal: This review does not confirm that every piece of sheet metal w/ applicable die-lot stamp numbers and major options is factory equipment for this vehicle, unless stated otherwise in this report. 3. OEM Manufacturing techniques : This review does not confirm that all manufacturing technique known to apply to production of this vehicle are present, unless otherwise stated in this report. 4. OEM Confidential body stamps: The primary and secondary confidential numbers have been examined as closely as possible. The paint over and or around these confidential numbers was not removed, unless otherwise stated in this report. To very these numbers as OEM factory original stamps that have not been altered, grafted into the metal and/or the entire section of metal has been replaced in which the numbers are present would require most of the paint to be removed. This is outside of the scope of this evaluation, unless otherwise stated in this report. 5. OEM numbers matching: Number’s matching is defined by us as “the public V IN tag on the dash matches the primary (PVIN) and secondary (SVIN) confidential numbers applied to this vehicle body at the factory tie to the VIN tag on the dash. Also, the VIN stamp on the engine and transmission applied by the factory tie to the VIN ta g on the dash”. Exclusions are any components outside of these items. Not all components were checked. If a component was checked it will be stated in the report. An acute OE level in lieu of an elite level review is available at extra cost. 6. OEM VIN tag: The tag was not removed for a close examination to ensure that is factory original. This is outside of the scope of this evaluation, unless otherwise stated in this report. 7. OEM trim tag : The paint over the tag was not removed for a close examination to ensure that is factory original. This is outside of the scope of this evaluation, unless otherwise stated in this report. 8. OEM Function and Operation: Outside of the scope of the report 9. Please contact MMC Detroit before this report is used for any purpose relating to this vehicle to ensure that is it the most current report on file. 10. It is recommended that each time this vehicle changes hands that an update report if generated A drivable vehicle needing little or only minor work to be functional. A deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. All components may need restoration to be "excellent", but the car is mostly useable "as is". 5 Needs complete restoration of body, chassis and interior. May or may not be running, but isn't weathered, wrecked or stripped to the point of being useful only for parts 1 Restored to current maximum professional standards of quality in every area, or perfect original with components operating and appearing as new. A 95-plus point show car that is not driven 2 Well-restored, or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original. Also, an extremely well-maintained original showing very minimal wear. Many aftermarket items. 3 Completely operable original or "older restoration" showing wear. Also, a good amateur restoration, all presentable and serviceable inside and out. Plus, combinations of well done restoration and good operable components or a partially restored car with all parts necessary to complete and/or valuable NOS parts. Good survivor 4

Mopar Vehicle Valuation Reference
This information will provide you with some general insight into better understanding how to establish the approximate value of a vehicles compared to other similar vehicles in the market place. However, please keep in mind that there are many variables to consider and this is just a guideline. The first item to consider is the total production of the vehicle. If a vehicle was produced in very small quantities (under 200-300 units) and is highly desirable like a 1970-71 Hemi Cuda Convertible it may not be as strongly affected by a non-numbers matching powertrain component as a more common or less popular model (i.e., base model Road Runner, Super Bee, Charger, Cuda’s, Challengers, station wagons, Vans, pick -up trucks etc…) might be. The extremely rare v ehicle will always be in a category all their own and establishing the true value is very challenging. Partial factory or dealer documents, rusted or partially legible VIN or trim tags, unreadable numbers stampings on drivetrain parts or the body will impact collectability and the value of a vehicle. The clarity and correctness is of upmost importance in estimating the value of a vehicle.
The following is a list of items to consider and their estimated value by being present.
• Original legible factory production broadcast sheet:
Add 10%
• Original factory vehicle traveler:
Add 1- 2% Add 2-3% Add 1-2%
• Original consumer information breaking sheet: • Original factory in process inspection documents: • Original hardware and final line build sheet:
Add 10%
• Original IBM card(s):
Add 1- 2% / card.
• Original monroney (Window/suggested list price) sticker: • Original certicard (1964-68) and/or Warranty Car:
Add 4%
Add 2 - 3%
• Original manufacturer door VIN decal: • Original advanced dealer shipping notice: • Original Chrysler issues invoice to the dealer :
Add 1% Add 1% Add 1%
• Original new car preparation sheet:
Add ½ -1% Add 1/4 % Add +5% Deduct 5% Deduct 10% Deduct 5%
• Original glove box packet (owner’s manual and info): • Desir able paint colors (i.e. High impact, black etc…)
• Non original trim tag:
• Non matching engine: ( >1967) • Non matching transmission: (>1967)
• No trim tag or build sheet:
Deduct 15-25% Deduct 25%+
• Missing primary and/or secondary body numbers:
Other consideration in establishing the value • Vehicle Provenance. The more original factory paperwork always adds to the value of any vehicle. • All original body panels, frame rails, floor pans etc…
• Origin al paint, “survivor” cars, factory promotional cars etc... • Date and part numbers on components (the more the better).
• Correct original accessory and other components (the more the better). • Having your vehicle validated/certified by a nationally recognized authority
There is this information in greater detail as well as much more information in the MMC reference restoration manuals that can be ordered on line at mmcdetroit.com web site.
