Lot 124 | 1957 AUSTIN FX3 TAXI The Austin FX3 Taxi was built by Austin from 1948 to 1958 to be sold in the United Kingdom. It was commissioned from Austin by Mann and Overton taxi dealers and built by Carbodies of Coventry on an Austin supplied chassis. The FX3 was used by cab operators in major UK cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Liverpool. The FX3 was powered by a 2.2-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This example is finished in a black exterior over a brown leather interior. A modern A/C system and radio have been installed. The shown luggage is included in the sale. Odometer shows 3041 kilometers.
